Your success start at AAC!
English Academic Purposes
(CRICOS 093104M)
Are you planning on further studies at a college or university? Then English for Academic Purposes courses are perfect for you. Our EAP courses are designed to prepare you for further studies at a vocational or university level. Knowledge of the English language is only one element that will make your studies worthwhile.
To be successful in an Australian college or university, you will need to be able to understand lectures, tutorials, and academic texts, write academic texts, such as essays and reports, learn how to use library facilities, have the ability to use technology services, and to be able to research independently while learning how to cite and reference all material.
Whatever level you begin with, and at whatever level you qualify, you will find that here at AAC, our goal of helping you to reach your full potential has been realized.
There are regular assessments and progress checks during each level of the course:
At the end of each level, you will be awarded a ‘Statement of Achievement’, which indicate your completion of that level of English.
Course length varies from 2 weeks to 24 weeks in 2023, dependent on your current English level, your progress within the course and the English level you wish to achieve.
* Extra fees will apply whenever an applicant wishes to amend enrollment details, which requires the creation of a new eCoE. The updated eCoE will attract a $40 administration charge.

ADVANCED
Many students find attending university in a foreign country to be a difficult experience. However, our EAP Advanced course not only focuses on academic language skills, but also on the cultural differences students may experience, both socially and academically. These areas may include interacting with groups, understanding the expectations of lecturers, and how to develop autonomous learning skills. Our aim is to enable you to gain confidence and independence. The IELTS equivalent at exit is 6.0-6.5. |
