Course Information
Our award winning IELTS Preparation courses are designed for students who have completed the Intermediate course successfully or who are preparing for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test. While continuing to improve all four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking, our students also learn to develop all the necessary skills needed to successfully undertake the IELTS test. This includes building vocabulary, being able to follow instructions, and how to identify crucial information in the shortest time possible.
The courses also prepare students for academic life after IELTS by giving them the language and cross-cultural knowledge of how to deal with life in Australia.

This IELTS Preparation course is specifically designed for you if you wish to gain extra points for your IELTS tests.

Assessments and Certificates
There are regular assessments and progress checks during each level of the course:
- Progress tests and exit tests based on material covered during the period of study.
- Participation in class activities such as pair work, group work and special projects.
- Homework tasks and special assignments based on researching topics and spoken presentations.
At the end of each level, you will be awarded a ‘Statement of Achievement’, which indicate your completion of that level of English.

Course length varies from 2 weeks to 16 weeks in 2023, dependent on your current English level, your progress within the course and the English level you wish to achieve.

* Extra fees will apply whenever an applicant wishes to amend enrollment details, which requires the creation of a new eCoE. The updated eCoE will attract a $40 administration charge.

Entry requirements
The IELTS Preparation course takes students who have completed the General English course at Upper Intermediate level.
You can also take an AAC English Placement Test to decide your level of English once you arrive at AAC Language Centre.
